Canterbury Racing Cluster
The Canterbury Westland Marlborough Racing District comprises a number of Racing Clubs in the northern half of the South Island which entered into a joint venture agreement from 1 August 2005 to manage and promote thoroughbred racing in the region.
Tim Mills of Canterbury Racing is the Co-ordinator while representatives of local breeders, owners and trainers associations also attend meetings.
The Board will develop and manage, financial policies, marketing strategies, promotional activities and stakes and race series initiatives on a joint basis to the benefit of the Clubs and stakeholder
